Is it just me, or did anyone else up sick after rollers last Thursday night? I don't think breathing in all the human (?) excrement was all that healthy. Plus I haven't been able to ride all weekend!

No no. I'm fine, just lazy :-)

Perhaps the smell for you was the straw that broke the camels back? Or that you rode in terrential rain?

Get better asap!

5 days later and I still have razorblade-throat and haven't been on a bike. I was in the thick of it though, at the door of the ladies loo. Oddly enough, inside the toilets themselves it smelt like relative paradise. Why I hung out there in the fug and persisted I don't know. To test the limits of my human endurance? Probably. Definitely. But I'd rather do it in a constructive way, like riding the Alpine Classic. Which reminds me - I was talking to an NZ friend of mine tonight and have all but decided to do Lake Tahpo (spelling?) this year in NZ. I'm thinking the 360km, 2-lap version. Anyone up for it?

Hmm, the track page probably isn't the smartest place to mention this.

Lake Taupo.

I rode around it once in February last year and yes it has some monster hills. (As does all of the North, you dont build roads around mountains in the North Island, you build them over them) I was on a compact chainring then and wasnt that fit, would be interesting to see how id go a second time.

But around it twice? ..... Hmmm.

Lindsay, in his infinite kindness, has agreed to do rollers early tonight before the AGM. So we're starting at 6.45 and ending at 7.30 in time for the 8pm meeting.
