Im not exactly sure if its all the same thing, but any one thats interested in some hard racing should give this a go. Its not graded the way saturdays are, this is done in a handicap format which causes all the grades to work together riding fast trying not to get caught.

If you are normally a b grader, you may be in c grade etc, if your a c grader go in c grade and see how far you can make it, the even pace may suit you, and if it doesn't, you will still have an amazing training experience if you can hang in there for long enough! recommended for any one that races road or crits.

I will add more details to this when i know them. Heres the dates.

Bit of an anti climax, could you spruce up that race report with a bit of dramatics

No, not even race wheels. I'll keep the colnago for crits. All the pieces are here, going to build it this week.

To expand on othy's report, B grade was pretty quick and very windy. I did plenty of work with the boys on the front, partly because it was safer and also because of how much swearing was going on. Those boys take their B grade racing seriously. Dropped off with about 5 or 6 laps left, half worn out, half unmotivated.

I think ill put a more serious attempt in next week.

well A grade got fropped by the 6 riders that won it
Weatherman lied again - freshening NE winds my arse - try 56kph solid NE gusts which had the whole race in the gutter.
Total smashfest though and when the going gets tough, you know who gets going? The Tough. Hell Yeah.
Awesome ride from the 6 A grade riders who simply rode away from the rest of A grade, smashed through B grade, then spat C grade aside to take the win.

1. Richard Lang
2. Tim Willing
3. Peter Hatton
4. Stewart Campbell
5. Liam Kelly

B Grade
1. John Peppard - only one to go with the final move

C Grade
1. Dave Watkinson - time to step up...

I was there in C grade and it was pure hell. lasted 4 or 5 laps then was spat. My record from tuesday nite Heffron racing is 1 from 4. It was very very windy and yeah thats about it, but watching the finishing sprint and listening to Craftys commentatary was great!

I would go, but its too far away from work to get there on time. I should see if there's any job opportunities with jimmy and kiwiames :)
