Road Bike Wheel Advice Please...

Hi All,
Just a bit of advice please...
Most of you would know my beautiful Avanti Questa Road Bike . It came with Mavic Kyyrium Equipe wheels and the bike has served me well for the last 12 months.
However, some of you may remember recently I brought my wheel to the track as it was making a funny clicking sound. With the combined brain mass of the club there that night, we deduced that the noise was coming from a reinforcing lug that had come loose from the weld of the rim and was shaking between two spoke nipples. However, due to the size of the lug there was no way to get it out without pulling the rim apart.
Interestingly enough, just after I discovered what it was, I got chatting to a guy on the harbour bridge who was riding the same bike as mine with the same wheels (and I had not seen another one in Sydney until then) and the same thing had happened to his.
So, off I toddled to Burwood Cycleworld where they lent me a spare wheel (with a bald tyre) while they sent the wheel back to the manufacturer. They replaced the wheel with no argument (thankfully) and off I went. However, the wheel is only 6-8 weeks old and the same thing has happened again. The lug has come loose. Annoying!
So my questions are:
1. Do I go back to Burwood Cycleworld again (which I think I will as the wheel is under warranty)?
2. Has this happened to anyone else?
3. Am I better off just cutting my losses and getting new wheels?
4. If so, what wheels would you suggest?
Any help would be great!
Just a bit of advice please...
