Hi All,

Another event filled training session. We started with warm ups rollers and laps, then with the assistance of Lizanne, Alison, Mia, Darani and Tody completed a 10 lap pace line drill. For the first 5 laps holding a speed of 22kph and the second 5 laps increasing the speed to 24kph. Meanwhile Zeke, Caitlin and Dexter completed a 6 lap rolling pace line.

Zeke and Dexter contacted each other for the sprint for the line, with Zeke coming down hard. Hopefully he’s only injuries are some cuts and bruises and no broken bones. Awaiting x-rays to be taken Monday for the final conclusion.

Lizanne then again lead Alison, Mia Darani and Toby on a 6 lap pace line, starting with 3 laps at 25kph the upping the pace each lap to 25.5k , 26k and then pushing the guys at 27kph

We then finished up with 1 lap screamer, Alison being the fastest followed by Darani, Mia, Toby, Dexter and Caitlin.

Hopefully we see Zeke, Tess and Taku back next week, All recovered from there accidents

And again a big congrats to Tess for her second in the 3 lap Derby at her first outing at the Metropolitan Track Championships at Dunc Gray Velodrome.

See you all Wednesday Night

Colin

If any of the juniors (or lizanne) are in need of a bike, here's a decent one for sale.

Yes now looking back on what I wrote I hope it didn't come out wrong... It is horrible to hear that anyone crashed and/or got hurt, ESPECIALLY the juniors. I get the impression now that the crash/injuries were more significant than I realised from Colin's original post. So a big sorry from me-I shouldn't have commented on that without knowing circumstances better. Just had a mental picture of the two little guys going hard at the finish line, which I thought is great. Hope both are recovering well.

Thanks mate, but I just realised after I posted it that I worded it really badly and i felt bad about it.it looked really insensitive and thoughtless. I didn't mean it how it read. yep will be looking forward to hearing how they are going and seeing them on the bike again soon.

lol man I don't think there was any thing wrong with what you said or how you said it! I was commenting on the actual fact of them only having cuts and bruises..
