Chances are that the seat tube is 25.5 when the clamp is undone and 25.4 once its done up. Its suprising but as little as 0.2 of a mm is the difference between something sliding or being fixed. Id say test a normal 1 inch seat post in it and it should be fine.

I know im not Tim but it thought id comment anyway. Thursday morning randwick is not a bad ride at all, its a solid pace with sprint towards the end. The pace is about equivelant to waterfall fasties, but with a couple more small hills in the mix.

Well this was my first time in A grade and despite not having any warm up at all, and racing the night before, i managed to hang on for over half the race before final giving up. With the right prep before the race, im sure i could easly last the whole race and be compeditive.

With that handicap i suspect that you probably would of won the race as well michael. It should be a good race, although i suspect that i will probably be caught by the scratchies pretty quickly.
