Re: Cycle Helmet contraversey

The article also mentions that the figures do not include the number of cyclists that didn't need to go to hospital because they were wearing a helmet. If you ask around, you'll find many cyclists have had an accident where they have landed on their head.

Many thanks to Weiyun and Mike for organising the best ride I've ever been on. I could never have imagined riding 160k in a day and couldn't have done it without the motivation by Mike and Weiyun over those never ending hills. Also a very special thank you to Eleri who broke wind (I mean in a nice w...

Well done Jono. It was David Duthie and myself on the ride with you. I did the first 50 and just snuck in at 9:55am and took off again for the next round of torture but dropped out at the 75k mark when my eyesight started playing up. Great effort... you should've been doing Waterfall all along!

Maybe we should start a game based on wheres Wally and tally up number of points during the year you get, if you spot G first in the crowd. ......................WHERE'S G?
Does this count?

I popped into the Westfield Chatswood store today to have a look at the bike. Doesn't look too bad.

I'll be picking up my baby blue fixie from Stanmore tomorrow after Saturday Slowies.

Don't know about a GP, but I can highly recommend Central Sydney Osteopathy, 7 Northumberland Avenue, Stanmore on 9557 3176. I've been seeing Rachel for my dislocated AC joint injury with great results. They can also arrange X-rays which would be a good idea. http://www.naturaltherapypages.com.au/th...

Overview of the ride: http://nsw.cycling.org.au/?ID=34007 It was a great day except that there weren't any water stations available and I ran out of water at 60klms and didn't complete the century. My first experience in a "race" wasn't all that crash hot as I got dropped after 10klms and ...

I suspect you mean Captain Cooks Bridge, which is to the west of Tom Ugly's. So true. All bridges look alike to me! But when I got dropped on my 2nd Waterfall I got lost and missed turning right down the Boulevard and ended up going across Tom Ugly's. Seems my sense of direction is shot. A couple o...

The back of the pack is harder than the front too. I noticed that yesterday. I quickly dropped to the back of the bunch as we climbed up Tom Uglys Bridge and it was much harder from then on. Finally got dropped just as we were turning off Princess Hwy heading up to Tempe. That was my 5th Waterfall ...
