TBH, I think you might be looking into it too much. All wheels around that price will have no discernible performance difference and it basically comes down to the one that you like the look of the most.

It's hard to beat Deep V's, even with the stock hubs. They are what the AIS use as training wheels so they will most likely hold up to whatever we can throw at them.

Tonight I'll be dropping a bag (pink Peter's of Kensington bag) of jerseys in to the bike room at Tempe. There's maybe 10-15 jerseys, a pair of Northwave's (sz 46) and a few other things. Feel free to take what you want/need. I'll take whatever is left after a week or so and throw them in the bin.

Probably best not to bring it up, as I can see the council taking the most cost-effective option and just closing the track as it would be deemed 'unsafe'.
My solution would be to pour petrol on the mould and set it alight, thus killing it with fire.

This might explain why my FFWD wheels from Wiggle arrived within two days. I love cheap mail order now, but in ten years when I need a headset installed or a BB replaced (two parts of a bike I don't touch) then it's going to suck. Maybe I'll just have to evolve too.

I can vouch for the FFWD rear disc. It was cheap, and delivered within two days from Wiggle. I would have got a five spoke front if I could have afforded it at the time. I got the FFWD 90mm front and it's also great. A wheelset that I doubt I'll ever out-skill with my engine.

Re: Video of me crashing my fixie, Saturday slowies
My speakers are broken, thanks for clarifying! From what I can make out from the audio the first thing the bike rider says as he gets up off the road is: "expletive, Virgin Mary, you had a red light"
Cheers

A 130mm quill stem will flex like a raw sausage! Let me know what parts you need to get rolling Noel, I have most things except for wheels/cranks that you might need to get rolling.

Re: Monday and Wednesday training schedule.
For Wednesday the 31st Theo was saying he'd try and get Alex Sommer down to ride the motorbike, or maybe we could contract Tim or Nathan to ride it for a bit provided they were keen. Otherwise I will get the gate out and run some starts, if we have time we could do both. John/Mr Wallman/Chubbsy do y...

Fantastic news. Now comes the headache of Kimmage having to return that money, Armstrong-style.

Re: Monday and Wednesday training schedule.
Tomorrow night I was thinking a warm-up paceline (trying to keep it steady, not a smash-fest), with some 3-up match sprints. This to be followed by either a madison if people are interested, or getting two or three riders together as the rabbits for the rest of us to catch. Hope to see you all there...

An interesting article: http://www.cyclismas.com/2012/10/groundhog-day-for-cycling/ Of note: http://www.cyclismas.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Wiggins-Plaster.jpg Why is the plaster there? Re: The Saga that is Lance
Look at riders like Cadel after he finishes some of the hard mountain top finishes, he is a wreck, yet Lance sometimes looked as fresh as a daisy day after day. This is where my suspicions first started to get aroused. Watching Hell On Wheels and Overcoming you see him on top of a mountain finish, ...

Apparently Goldcross are having a 50% off sale at the moment, it might be worth hitting that up.
FWIW, my Tk2 was my dream bike when I bought it (nearly three years ago now!) and I've only recently thought about retiring it because it's getting a bit noodley. Great bikes!

Who wants to do what Monday night? I'm keen to do another few rounds of 3-up match sprints in between the pursuit training provided people are keen. Any other ideas throw them out there.

Patty I'm thinking we can work around the pursuers/paceline like we did Monday night (this worked well). I had a few things in mind but running some starts and doing some timed efforts will work too. I'll try and get there a little after six and we can discuss.

Righto. Monday 8 October. 1830-1900 Rollers/warm-up 1900-1920ish warm-up paceline. 1930- Seated whistle sprints. No standing up. Madison, depending on who turns up. If not, handicap team pursuits or italians. If we have time after that, lead-outs. Let me know what you think, and make some suggestion...
