Re: Dulwich Hill spotted

Weiyun, I looked out for Mike when rolling through Tempe with Joe a few minutes after 6, but missed seeing anyone - probably too busy dodging the traffic at that stage.

Re: Dulwich Hill spotted

Well spotted Mark! - especially considering the dark and my lack of club gear.

Was my first commute since back from Euro - good to be on a bike again.

Re: Dulwich Hill spotted

Thanks Eleri, I appreciate the mention. Unfortunately that review is not the best (written by someone with the proverbial axe to grind). There are several (hopefully) better reviews of Designer Suburbs in the pipeline tho. In the meantime here is another story re Designer Suburbs : http://www.dhub.o...

Re: Ride Report - Tour Down Under 2013

By my rough calculations the stage took me 5 hours on the bike ie about 25kph average. Dougie and Jo finished a few minutes ahead of me so it seems the rough calculation wasn't too bad. The pros took almost two hours less to do the course but I'm happy with the speed given that as Dougie says it was...

Re: Ride Report - Tour Down Under 2013

Dougie, thanks for your report, encouragement, incessant texts, organisation, local knowledge etc. Can't imagine last week without you. One bit of your local knowledge we took advantage of was the bar of the Hilton (where the teams stay). Went there two nights, saw Griepel, Gossy, Geraint Thomas and...

Re: Today's crash

Funny you should say that - the ambos told me I was repeating myself endlessly; I thought I was being perfectly lucid, of course. Scary feeling.

Re: Today's crash

Yep, it was definitely me. Not that I remember anything between the roundabout and being helped into the Ambo. Hope it wasn't too scary to witness. Particularly want to thank Pete, Michele and everyone else who looked after me post-prang. Also Pat who retrieved my bike and visited me in the hospital...

Re: The Parra Pedal / Amy Gillett Ride Sun 13/2/11

A few of us did the 55k ride. It was ok after the tortuous first few ks and a bit of a novel experience in being mainly on bike paths and busways. The parts out behind Fairfield and near the reservoir were quite scenic and mostly about as good riding as you could get on paths; some reasonably fast s...

Sorry, I'll be in Canberra that weekend.

But at least you won't have to wait for me, Weiyun.
