<The counter... "What lap was that again Jo?"&g
Yes - well you can tell that even though Adrian is an Academic, he obviously doesn't excel in the maths department......Then again poor Lindsay didn't have much luck counting either. I will have blame most of the spectators also as I must have asked what lap it was about 5 times and you all ignored ...

Possible show later
Hey Lindsay: If I left Stuart's "family do" at around 8 (it is an 80th so they don't stay up very late), I could be there around 9pm just to drop in and say hi. Do I have to pay any thing before hand? At this stage I don't know if I'll be there but I am hoping to drive straight there. Stu'...

GREAT PHOTO
Yeah - what a great Photo Wieyun ! Quality is great and good to see the numbers up for DHBC, pretty fun day and a great ride. Pity we didnt get the late stragglers as this would have been a big team from DHBC.
Didn't we get a photo at the start with everyone in it?

RESULTS - FOR SLOWIES GONG RIDE
Anyway those who bet on Michael Insomniac today at 16/1 would have got a nice little return. $20 for a win, $10 for a place. He came out of the gate like a bat out of hell, hauling my tired arse with him. Although I have a suspicion that the reason he doesn't get any sleep and can ride the way he do...

The "Slowies" FORM GUIDE for THE GONG RIDE
ODDS FOR THE SLOWIES: Apologies for any slowies I missed who haven't been riding with us OR who have advanced to the FASTIES. • 9/1 – JO: Import with strong bloodlines and Filipino breeding. Performs well in training but up in class in this race. • 20/1 – STUART: Expect to lead early then look for a...

Hey Eric: You know, in the years I've ridden with Dulwich Hill I always see you drafting at the back of the bunch......but it's never the Dulwich Hill Bunch? Maybe Coach Jo needs to teach you basic colour differentiating skills first. We are the red jerseys!. Oh well - maybe next time I will try an...

Jo to Slow to be the Slowies Coach
Why should I be disadvantaged, just 'cos a few other riders get on the juice and go up to fasties? Its not fair - what about us clean riders????? Oh well Insomniac - if it's good enough for Cadel you too have to learn how to deal with riding with "tainted" riders. I am sure after I person...

Jo too Slow to be the Slowies Coach
There seems to be a lot of slowies that have defected to the fast group. Officially - Dave, Darryl, Colin & Steve (Pinerallo) have outgrown us -TRAITORS!!. Actually I am just jealous as that transition into the Fast group seems to forever allude me. Good on Amy this week for following me and try...

From the Coach - CHRIS I DONT LIKE THE PHRASE SLOW COACH!
OK - All you slowies, just because I am not coming Saturday does not mean that you guys get to slack off and stroll around the park like a couple of grannies at a tea party!!! I have a more important task of trying to get myself beautiful for a wedding which is a big job in itself...(not my wedding ...

Sorry - that last message was for Insomniac Michael, to get some sleep. But obviously lack of sleep makes him ride better, and obviously makes him more alert at following the coaches instructions. It seems the only thing that goes to sleep for mike - is his feet ! He suffered severe pins and needles...

Sunday "Not quite Slowies " Report
In the absence of our usual slowies leaders (Lindsay and Geoff) the group was led out today by Jo (Me) and Fiona, then taken the bulk of the way to Waterfall turn off by Daryl and Insomniac Micheal, who both set a cracking pace. The presence of the Russions (who arent Russian but I love to call them...

This is what I see; Fast 31kph + (Business as usual) Medium 29 - 30kph (like Stuart and Joanne + others) Slow 26 - 28 Correction - Stuart is 26-27kph and Jo is 27-28.9kph average - but thanks Mike for assuming we both average 30. I'm happy for people to think that! As a constant slowie, I don't thi...

Accident on Saturday Waterfall ride.
Was a beautiful morning riding out to Waterfall this morning and through the DHBC Forum we managed to pick up "Gekko" / Glen who asked to come along, and he managed to push us a little harder than we would go, but it was great. Anyway - on the way home on Rocky Point Rd just after completi...

Crikey - excel databases and calculating your averages by the second! There seems to be more geeks at DHC than I thought. Anyway - here is one for the slowies who averaged between 26 to 27. It's nice to not be riding on my own for once, and finally we have a new female entry (Camilla) who kept up th...
