I'd've come, but am sick as usual. The kids give it to each other, who gives it to me, who gives it to my wife, who gives it to the kids, who ... you get the idea.

Thanks for that, T-Bone. I didn't want Google to know I had looked up Chris Hoy's thighs!

Visually impaired cyclist seeks tandem rider for a tow!

I'm cutting and pasting this from Sydney Cyclist: Susie wrote: I have a visual impairment and am looking for a person or people to ride with on a regular weekend basis on a tandem. I have a little experience riding on a tandem. At the moment I am able to ride a bit over 30km. I am more comfortable r...

A mate of mine did this last year and said it was bloody punishing. He finished in the dark, after just missing a ferry.
But I have been thinking about a Bay in a Day for Sydney. Start at Marrickville, out to La Perouse, down to Kurnell and back to Marrickville. Probably about 100ks all told ...

I'm keen for a Kurnell next weekend (9/9, as I have a slow spin with my Dad this Sunday to La Perouse, via Cent Park, Bellevue hill and back if anyone wants in), perhaps with a climb into the NP included. I like the Kurnell ride because there is less traffic and fewer stoppages than on the Waterfall...

The difference in stiffness between 7005 and 6061 is very small, with 6061 having a modulus 10, 7005 having 10.4. 6061 is much easier to weld. 7005 has a higher tensile strength then 6061.

Yeah I am pretty sceptical about this bike. The manufacturer's website says it is a courier bike, not a track bike, so I suspect the eBay seller is attempting to extract the urine.

$600 'track' bike. Whaddawereckon?

The vendor says it is a track bike. The manufacturer says it is a courier bike.

I received the same email, even though my blog hardly ever mentions cycling. In a deep irony, my blog is mostly about how badly PR people behave. Long story short, I think the whole promotion is way off the mark. I reckon that by the time a PR company goes to all the effort to reach out to a blogger...

Hill and Knowlton is indeed, as Jenx says, an international PR group. They are a little unusual in that they have a digital specialist or two on staff, who I suspect are behind this. Long story short, bloggers are considered "influencers" the same as journalists are, because just as people...

Bad news - car stopped in front of a pack of 50 - on purpose - and caused quite a bingle.
