You can install the crown race reasonably easily yourself. The actual tool is basically just a bit of pipe that fits over the steer tube and you use that to hit/push the crown race into position.

To expand on othy's report, B grade was pretty quick and very windy. I did plenty of work with the boys on the front, partly because it was safer and also because of how much swearing was going on. Those boys take their B grade racing seriously. Dropped off with about 5 or 6 laps left, half worn out...

Really your standard options are the Vittorias evo corsa cx or the Continental competitions. I'm not sure how successful those sealing canisters are, it problably depends a lot on the type of puncture. As Othy mentioned in the other thread anytime you ride on these wheel you will need the carbon bra...

Just do a couple of 260 km training days up macquarie and you'll lose weight. Its cheap than drugs as well.

I dont know if jealous is the right word Mat. It was a rather epic ride, i was completely buggered when I got home. It took me two attempts to get up the stairs to my house. On a side note, maquarie pass is both a hard and beautiful climb but im expecting at least one crash if not more during the fi...

well i got just less than 200kms done, about 7 hours on the bike, almost all of it climbing. Feeling pretty sore now.
