I suggest this as it occurs to me that if we all pop a club bidon on a table at, for example, the Marrickville Road Cafe, it may be a little hard to remember which one belongs to which rider!

Re: comparsion of hills

Interesting question, has anyone ridden out to Bundeena? Looking at the profile that was generated by Map My Ride, the biggest hill is Artillery Hill. I did Bundeena a few weeks back, but after going to Waterfall first. Artillery Hill messed me up but good, given that I already had 60kms under my b...

I for one already do this on sites that I want to see continue. Basically that means the SMH, selected IT & cycling sites along with motorcycling stuff. I don't actually then read any of the stuff that comes up in the new tab, I just try to give the site some revenue, however small from my one ...

Speaking as a journo who basically gets paid by advertisers (albeit in a roundabout way) by all means ignore or block ads. But give the odd one a sympathy click to keep a roof over my head!

I bought a $50 A-frame trainer. Not as good as rollers, but also much less noisy! I set it up in the shed and get over the boredom factor by popping a TV show into my iPhone/iPod and watching that while I pedal. For me, the training benefit is the chance to sit and just pedal, pedal, pedal for as lo...

There is better stuff to come.
SBS fires up its Digital channel on July 1 and the extra channel will mean simultaneous coverage of the TDF AND Ashes Cricket.

That'll probably knock me out of the next RNP slowies and riding that Sunday in general.

Rim tape is impeccable. Not a single loose thread. I'd invite inspections but then I would be messing around with tyres again and I'm over that right now. Did I hold the valve stem still? Not consciously. Was the product faulty? Well the last one out of the packet punctured after about 15kms. Was I ...

The dud tube had a 3mm long split just near the valve weld. Even I would struggle to somehow create that during a tube change!
But I will accept the judges' decision without further argument.

I'm claiming four: 1. Slow leak on track bike - self repair 2. The one that blew when I was preparing for the B2B - self repair 3. Puncture during the B2B, - helped by breakdown van then replaced with ... 4. Dud tube tried then discarded during the B2B That's 3.5 points, right? 2-4, FWIW, all happen...

I had a very odd ride indeed. I headed off on the long course, but punctured about 6km out of Blayney. Then my replacement tube would not inflate. It would get to about 40 psi but no more:-( So I broke out my second spare, but by this time the breakdown wagon decided they were falling too far behind...

Cycling Australia insurance

I just cleaned up a small section of my desk (the whole thing is too scary) and found my Cycling Australia insurance brochure.
It offered https://welcome2.willis.com/cycling/default.aspx as the place to get all the details on the cover.

He's good enough that he got picked up as team Physio for the ICL - the rebel Twenty20 cricket league in India - and spent two months there with one of the teams.

we should have Dulwich Hill Bicycle Club on the shirt, ... DHBC is not informative enough ....
I gotta agree with that. If we are to promote the club, we need more than just four letters that could stand for anything ... such as the Druids Hill Baptist Church at www.dhbc.org
