A mate of mine was one of the four copter-borne "retirements." He has a swag of broken ribs and a nasty bump on the head. And a very, very worried wife (who was allowed to the head of the ferry queue to meet him at hospital, with kids in tow)! He's a veteran rider and ironically commutes t...

Well the Kurnell crew grew to five today, with Ted and Camilla starring by consuming a mid-ride bacon and egg roll.
We saw the main DHBC bunch just as we were turning onto the Cpt Cook bridge, but you sailed past us oblivious to our well-fed little bunch!

It seems that some riders have the ability to stealth off the back of the group.
"Stealth off the back?"
Oooh I like that.
I'm not slow any more.
But I am very good at stealthing off the back!

:wink:

Hi Simon,

I fit into 3 categories;
1 = Fast
7 = triples who never use the third chainring
12 = Old
You need three bikes, three clones and three personalities.
Either than or we need another group for people who fit into more than one group.

I think we need twelve groups. 1 = Fast 2 = Fixie riders 3 = Bike is more than 50% carbon 4 = Fast latte drinkng softies 5 = Intermediate 6 = Intermediate hard-assed long black drinkers 7 = Intermediates with triples who never use the third chainring because they have outgrown it 8 = Intermediates w...

Another possibility is a shorter ride for the slowies. As a bloody slow, unfit and lazy rider, Waterfall knocks me around for the whole day. So while I need to train, the last thing I want to do is "train" other people to hang around a 7-11! Perhaps a slow group could look at a 70km ride o...

Sorry all ... can't make it. Having said that, with a bit more notice I'd love to. And FWIW, I reckon we should say the last Saturday of every even numbered month, or something like that, and do pointscore over the year for club champs! (Of course as a total n00b that's a very presumptuous suggestio...

I'm not entirely sure I want "DH" in a circle on the front of my head.
Anywhere else on my body, fine. But let's not give away one of the other interpretations of our initials so obviously!

That free-standing rack is a beauty, but won't quite work for my wife's bike with its steeply angled top tube. The basket and kiddy seat complicate things too - makes it damn hard to balance.
Weiyun is right too - you can get the same effect as my suggestion with two hooks. But it won't look as nice!

Storage

Some of us at the Track Masters the other night were talking about indoor storage products.
Well ... here's the one I was talking about!

Sunday step-up

Anyone care to join me on Sunday for a Kurnell? The idea would be to leave from Mick @ 6:30 and peel off over the bridge to do Kurnell, back to Cronulla for a swim/coffee, then return. The idea is that this is a step up from Saturday Slowies. A few weeks of that should build strength for Waterfall a...
