Lol this happens every year, the muddies or 28's get too fast, often faster than the group ahead! Every one assuming they are too slow for the bunch ahead. There was a time when fasties was cruisy, but just the safest bunch, we just didn't really point it out to any one. Good work John and every one...

Check out the comments by the British (ex German) guy, who pointed out that he crashed on purpose. The Germans didn't recover from that start as well as the British, and ended up in the bronze ride off from it, I reckon they should be pretty annoyed, as they may have been the Gold favorites!!

Yeah, I personally would stick exclusively to what ever it is that Mike does. On motor bikes they teach you to press lightly, then squeeze down for emergency and sudden breaking, not just to smash them down, as it skids, so it is two motions, I haven't had this required often on the push bike though.

Re: RBCC hit this morning

yeah no bike lane.. and though it is legal to filter in some sort of way (I can't remember which) to the front at lights, its sort of interesting to hear this story, possibly bits of what I heard about blaming the truck at the time were unwarranted.. it is good to know that it doesn't sound any more...

Re: Dulwich Hill spotted

a fixie would have helped! well not for changing gears, that is a slow process, but up a hill a fixie is better if you don't want to change gears!

Re: DHBC Lionel Cox Memorial Sprint Derby Omnium - 4pm April

oops I didn't read that, yeah I guess it is true :p possibly the match sprint is a good time, you don't need to be in a paceline. Just be careful going from standing to sitting in the flying 200 then I guess :p

Re: DHBC Lionel Cox Memorial Sprint Derby Omnium - 4pm April

if you want to race an omnium, it would possibly be better to turn up the the track for a training night at least once first! racing is a slight step up from just riding
