Re: Wagga Wagga track open has 10 000 in prizes!
You can do it in 5 hours from Dulwich Hill. FYI, the track is around football oval (aka flat and long). When you are hammering, your back wheel tends to drift on the corners as there is minimal banking. It's also tough to come around anyone towards the finish line. It is quite a good event and histo...

DHBC Juniors - Band Fundraiser
Three of the DHBC juniors (Alexander Kaprusiak, Seamus O'Sullivan and Sam Weller) will be performing at a concert at the Concordia Club with the Ashfield Little Big Band (ALBB). The aim of the concert is to raise funds for a tour planned later this year. Not being biased, but the band can belt out s...

Re: Anyone planning to go to Geelong for the World Champions
There's heaps of great camping and riding aroung Geelong. Just 20ks south you have towns like Torquay (close to the famous Bells Beach), Anglesea, Ocean Grove etc. etc. - heaps of alternative all on the coast. Can be windy and a little chilly that time of year. The Great Ocean Road is a fantastic ri...

Re: Entries just opened for the Audax Alpine Classic
It's a shocker - mainly due to the heat, they now stop the ride if its over 40 C. Mt Buffalo after 130ks is something to behold (35 ks up and then - thank god, 35ks back down). I rode past a bloke on walking his bike up the hill and remarked that the machines were meant for riding. He said he was ri...

Re: DHBC Road Time Trial Team/s for Calga TT
The masters result was very good considering they were riding with three (as Christian mentioned, I had a shocker, hanging off the back most of the time with only one decent turn on the whole course). There was plenty of horsepower from Mark, Christian was flying up the hills and Mike flying down - ...

I was slaughtered!!! They had me on the 6 min bunch (one in front of block). I felt like grandad!! I hung in until Junee (40ks) when scratch came through like a dose of salts, unfortunatley it was up the biggest hill of the race, so, follwing a quick vomit (literally) it was sionara for me.
