Hi all,
we've been contacted by a PR firm that is trying to get 100 cyclists to Centennial Park at 8:00 AM this Thursday, June 20th.

The deal goes like this. Contact mollie@magnumpr.com.au to let her know you are coming.

Go to the amphitheatre at the top of the Centennial Park hill by 8:00 AM.

You'll be given the jersey, a Le Coq Sportif special edition for the 100th tour. You then get to hang with the other cyclists while the media takes photos of you all. Media may interview you.

And that's it really: sign up and pimp yourself to get a jersey. Or don't.

S.

About le coq sportif and the Tour de France:
The history of le coq sportif is closely linked to the great race and dates back to 1951 when the Tour ordered the official jerseys from the company for the first time. It was a symbolic year for the brand and the start of a great adventure, with le coq sportif supplying the jerseys for the next forty years. To celebrate the brand’s great heritage, le coq sportif has partnered with the race once more as the official jersey sponsor of the 100th edition Tour de France.

Why do I have this burning desire to ask what sizes the pokadot jerseys come in?

It should be illegal to even make Polka Dot jerseys in any size larger than a medium.

Who went? How was it? Did the PRs handle you with magnificent cynicism? Are we on TV?

Great day for it. Turned up after spending an hour or so getting acquainted with my lack of bike fitness, yep still *censored*, to see a plethora of DHBC riders . After grabbing our Maillot Jaunes we were herded like cattle to our media call. A few photos later and after the obligatory moving cyclist shots the decision to relocate to somewhere more accustomed to our social standing, la ćafe Randwick where coffee was supped like gentlemen. Was good to catch up with some old faces (some older than most) and wag the chin over a brew, talking about how we conquered the col du Tourmalet singlehanded (and concurrently) to earn the hard fought yellow shirt we now wore.
