The club is excited to announce a new sponsorship agreement with http://velofix.com.au Velofix in Rozelle that will benefit ordinary members as well as bring substantial support for the NRS Team and our sole woman rider. The club has spent a great deal of time ensuring that this arrangement is a great fit for the club, as well as our newest sponsor.

Every club member will be eligible for 10% discount on standard Velofix products and services as well as 3 free Wattbike sessions per year, and Velofix is also going to provide various information nights and shop events. To obtain your discount, you just need to show your CA membership card that has your DHBC membership on it.

As for the NRS Team they will receive a lot of support such as Wattbike sessions, a bike fit, and discounts on equipment. You’ll probably see them wearing the Velofix kit out and about.

There’s much to like about Velofix and we didn’t go into this agreement lightly. Anthony and Aileen Challinor sat down with the NRS team and me recently and explained the philosophy of the shop and their reasons for sponsoring DHBC.

They have a strong sense of service and customer focus and are particularly supportive of women and to that end have sponsored not just the NRS team but Amy Vesty as well so she can race at that level. They like our club’s approach to riding on the road, safety and consideration. And many of our members have been long-term customers of Velofix and impressed with bike fits and service. Several of our NRS team work at Velofix now so there are many connections that we hope will grow.

Club jerseys will soon be stored at Velofix with the added bonus that there will be more payment options than just cash. There will be some kit stored at the Velodrome still and available on track training nights at 6:30pm.

We are looking forward to building this relationship for the benefit of all club members.
