Hi All,

I received the following communication from CNSW regarding the Club TTT and Sprint Champs. Do we have anyone entered into any of these events?

"All riders must have been a financial member of the club they are wishing to ride for, for at least the past 2 months.

 Riders may only represent one club in any track season

 U/17’s may ride up in U/19’s events and U/19’s into elite events but may only do so if they are a “second year” rider and must ride their age gearing. They cannot then also race in their age group team

 Masters are not permitted to ride in Elite teams unless they have upgraded their licence to an Elite level

 Riders may be named in more than one club squad on the day of either the Pursuit or Sprint, but once they have taken the track with a particular team they are not permitted to ride with another club team.

 If a club selects riders out of age, the team they are riding with must not have any more than 50% of the team on the track who are under age (eg a maximum of 2 x U/19’s may ride in a men’s 4 man pursuit)

 If a club selects riders out of age, then they may only do so if this does not impact on the fielding of a team from the riders actual age group (eg if an U/17 rider is taken up, if it is determined the club has therefore had to withdraw or not enter an U/17 team, this would not be permitted)

 Clubs who have small member numbers may apply to the CNSW Technical Commission for special consideration to allow one Masters registered rider (ie not upgraded to elite level licence) in an elite team. The Technical Commission may give approval if it is deemed such a selection will genuinely assist the club in fielding a team for the event. This must not impinge upon lower age
group teams and the 50% rule of team composition still applies. All applications must be lodged by the Monday immediately following close of entries

Should you have any questions regarding entries and eligibility for these championships please contact James Nguyen at the CNSW office"

They keep changing bloody rules at the drop of the hat. Last year they let us ride U19 riders in the team pursuit, then this year they wouldnt let us have any in our road TTT. Now they change the rules again. *Shakes head*

Umm - I did make representations re the road TTT. It might be that our feedback got the rules changed ...
