should i sign up? how far is it etc?
I know that as im one of Team DHBC's top road riders (im in the top twenty :D) it should be a given that im in there, but a bit worried about getting dropped so badly that i throw my bike at a fence and run off crying.

Is this out at Penrith Lakes? If so I did this race 2 years ago, in the fog.

I had the entry page open on my PC at about 11.30 last night and thought about it... and decided that there wouldn't be anyone I know at the circuit at that time, so didn't enter.

BTW, considering I would of done half the distance of elite, shouldn't my entry fee been half price :D

Wasn't that bad apart from the wind and the rain, and the fact that my legs need a bit more power....

Proper report to come, and some photos...

Gee that was a pretty average day out on the bike. Those kind of races are never a very good indicator of form as it only takes one mistake, too far into the red zone and you get dropped when otherwise you would finish the race and possibly do well...

But if I keep racing like that I think I'm going to retire for a while & leave it to those unemployed, who are doing so well...

So DHBC didn't take the top 4 places then?

Nope, I lasted longest at 66km before i got spat out. There was a reasonably strong crosswind which made things difficult. Average speed for me was 42.4km/hr, with a 54.7 max.

I was happy enough, as i went there for training.

Sounds like it was tougher than the Masters 1 and 2 race. We had an earlier start so the wasn't any real wind perhaps just a very slight breeze.

I just checked the results for my race (MMAS2) I finished 15th. Which was a little disappoinging as I was in a great position on the last lap but went too early. There is always next time!

Average for the 90km was 41.4
