Colin, that was Andrew Belford and I this morning. Realised it was you and Nick once you had passed. There were 6 to 8 riders at the cafe. The BOM rain app showed showers clearing to the south. As ride leader for today I was unable to convince anyone to ride so Andrew Belford and I set off. I parted company with Andrew at Bestic Street went home, changed to a dry kit and Kerry and I completed a "dry" ride to Kurnell. Although I have two very dirty Lynskeys to clean. Glad we rode!!!

Will probably do Kurnell next Saturday Colin if you and Nick are interested - will PM you during the week.

Was that a new bike I spotted Colin?
Unfortunately I can't make it next Saturday but definitely interested in future Kurnell rides. I will pass your invite onto Nick. Thanks.

Spotted Pete T, Michele and Dayna on the Cooks River on Saturday. They were part of a group called Mud Crabs who meet every couple of months to do a cleaning blitz of the Cooks River. Very impressive.

I suggested they put a post up on the forum next time they go to meet to encourage other volunteers to go down. I will definitely be one of them.

Spotted Colin at The Henson, with his arm in a sling, beering it up - looking for sympathy - while the track juniors cry into their cordial.

Michael Chidgey leading the charge of about 6 or 7 fasties along Bobbin Head Road in a downpour. Keith and I were enjoying a post-ride coffee out of the rain and watching the passing traffic.

Probably was me, did I look cranky?
I think I thought your toot was from an impatient motorist as I'd copped a bit of verbal coming back from a solo jaunt in RNP?
I did spot Adam & Anthony going the opposite direction in the park.
Nice to know it was a friendly toot :)
Have a great ride,

You looked buggered.
After we tooted, my wife says that I probably just look like another anti-bike driver. We need some DHBC bumper stickers. Or I'll install a new horn, like the Tour de France race director has.

As spotter: super-model Mark Lacey positively flowing down Wilson St, as I was waiting at the lights, having contra-flowed up it.
As spottee: shortly afterwards, seen by Dougie in Petersham "looking stuffed".

Also spotted Justyn Griffin on the Tempe Canal bridge heading to work.

And, found Peter Bownes in deepest, darkest Mascot trundling his way to LaPa.

Yesterday I spotted (all at different times) Joanne Troutman, Gonzalo Muslera and one other unknown rider at Centennial Park (my ten hard laps apparently didn't happen according to Garmin). This morning I bumped into Ben Croft on my commute and rode with him into the city, saw Bill Bolton coming the opposite way across the Pyrmont Bridge, then tonight, saw Peter Bownes walking in Marrickville; yes that's right he was not on a bike!

Spotted on the Great Western Hwy, Blaxland. Some guy on a PINK Brompton folding bike. Honked him several times, but he ignored me.
Must be some trendy but lost Inner Westie.
He also looked strangely like Ray Patton.

Mark Lacey leaving La Pa as I arrived this morning. Mark did another loop so we had a chat on the way back until our paths diverged.
Also I heckled Paul Mayson from my car on Sunday morning as he returned from his Garie Beach adventure.
Have a great ride,
Peter

Spotted Donna Meehan this morning. Not quite DHBC spotted but an honourable mention.

Saw Eleri parking quite close to Philip's studio in Marrickville during the week, I'm wondering if she did a photo shoot?

Going to Signwave to get a quote on new race numbers. Sorry - no intrigue there!
