Personal preference and location. I chose BRAT as they cycle train in CP and Jo T trains with them. I also considered Balance UTS but they train out at Homebush so I wouldn't be able to get to work in time.

Understand you don't need to be in a Tri club

No you don't. But if you're going to compete it gives a social aspect to the events.

I'm also a member of Triathlon Australia so events are cheaper to enter. But it only makes financial sense if you do a few of them a year.

Julio was encouraging me to do the one at nepean. The problem with that one is that I have to do more running training, as its a 10k run leg. With the sprint series being 5k run, I know my current capabilities

There is a Kurnell race in December that's a sprint. Unfortunately it's after Nepean. But it's only a 5km run and is a local race so easier to organize.

I belong to Balance UTS, have done so for the past 5-6 years. Highly recommend.

I'm still a long way off a Tri. Had another swimming lesson with unearthed a tonne of faults. Right calf is giving me grief restricting running to one short water running a week. I'll get there eventually...

Will be doing ATTA on Sunday

I've had 2 lessons, one earlier and one a week ago. I've been practising what I have been advised on. Lots of things to improve on
