I dunno, I wouldn't be a bike racer for all the tea in China given the utterly clueless response that people have to the initial incident. Considering that there are humans milling around the racecourse like a herd of individualistic cattle it's amazing that more people weren't laid out. I'd have had whoever designed the course marshalling that bend though, for sure.

Yeah, it's obviously a loop, and so they've got one guy standing in the middle of the road to make sure that there's no collisions? Hahahahahahahaha...

Girl, but yeh.

I can't believe the cyclists, on their way back, still can't avoid her!

Hard to tell from the camera angle, but seems the cyclists come around the corner and then there's people everywhere on the lane.

I've witnessed a head on collision between a bike going in one direction and a bunch going the other way. The rider was in the bunch about to sprint for the line and did a wheel touch, flicking him to the other side of the road head on into the chasing bunch going the other way.

In that race and the one above, there should of been separating barriers

Of course. Only sensible.

But what was the car doing on the course? It seems to have hit the cyclist. Who hit the marshall?

I thought the peleton did a great job veering onto the other side of the road into the oncoming cyclists as directed by the cop who ran out onto the road without even looking.

That bunny hop was a FAIL tho'.

Another successful event brought to your town by US military know how!
