I just thought I would drop the below quote in from a Clubmate. I have edited to keep the individual anonymous.

".......nonetheless I figure every bit helps. I'll never forget the moment I rode down that hill and saw Greg on a backboard wrapped up like a kebab, mind someplace else and body waiting for a helicopter to salvation. Not only because he's a human, or a fellow DHBCer, or a friend, but because I'd had the privilege and joy to witness how far he'd come in the previous months: from "so what is this 3 peaks they speak of?" to "f#$k, really?" to " I'm going to do it!"

Nothing would make me prouder than if he did one day. Although that he simply wants & is able to get on a bike again is more than enough....."

Donate now. James Rogers has donated the use of his infamous monkeys to answer your call.........

We have passed halfway! You people have pulled hard for the protected riders it's now time for the GC contenders, the Polka dot wearers and the Puncheurs to make their move.

Toss your bottles away, click down two gears and dive deeply into the red zone. The Monkey will take your call.

Failing that put yourself in this picture. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMmyyEOeVTs

(Does anyone else find the image of the monkey disturbing, or is it just me?)

We are less than $999 from this appeal to get our Club mate Greg back on three wheels coming to fruition. After 24 hours this is EXTRAORDINARY.

There is a Leader Board for the GC with performances ranging from $10 to $380. Every dollar donated is a dollar closer to the finish line. No donation is too small and no donation is too big. Your time in the wind pulling for your mates is all that counts.

Donate now and you can be promoted to the FASTIES this Sunday. Donate twice and you can become a member of the DHBC racing team. Donate three times, you are over reaching so stop it.

Same as Mike. Is the glacier moving or do we need to get out the blow torch? Update of pledge/transfer total to date would be good.

Hey Dougie, Check the monkey's pockets before he goes home, there's something a little shifty about that fella.

The mythical climb that is the Col de Recumbent has forced many teams to chase as DHBC has been called to the front to drive the pace. At a massive $2,300 metres this Col is the highest pass in the Dulwich Hills. At this time over $1,900 metres has been climbed and the "sommet" is only a few switchbacks away.

We are hoping that no one falters at this point. The pace is hard going but measured. No attacks have come but with only about $350 metres or so left to raise they would be expected at anytime. The only question that remains is whom will go off the front next? Stage honours await. The opportunity is now for the tactically proficient. For those whom have been hiding in the Peloton to this point it's time to show your hand.

The transfer season is open. Transfer today to the Trike appeal. The Glory is yours.

An unheard of bunch sprint took place to complete the mountaintop finish on the Col de Recumbent, the Queen Stage of the Tour de Dulwich Hill.

Counting the all the Pledges not yet received and the transfers received in the Bank to date, 44 Club Members have donated an amazing $3,195 to get Greg Pankhurst back on the road. This is truly wonderful. To all those whom have donated, thank you.

Now for specifications!
Zipp Carbon Clinchers?
Dura Ace 9070 Di2?
Twin overhead Fox Tails?

Standby for presentation details.
Cheers

Excellent result everyone! Thanks

The bike is being ordered today and there's a red one in stock.

Dougie and I will work out a plan for the excess funds raised and what we do with them. Either return them or reapply to something else but probably the NRS team. But we'll consult before making a call.

I am really excited about this and very proud of the club.

Stuart - I'd see a doctor about the state of your penis.

Guys, thank you all so much. I'm so touched by the generosity, and amazed it came together so quickly. Thanks so much Eleri, Doug and everyone else who had a hand in this. The beast is ordered in resplendent DHBC red and after a couple of shakedown runs along the Cooks river and the all clear from the docs I'll get myself on a few club riders. Hopefully Waterfall in time but Slowies as the first step.

Thanks again guys
