Is there anyone in the club who'd be able to design a poster for this March 2014 event?
The 2013 poster was excellent and would be a hard design to beat.
If you think you can help, please email me at marc@hwy.com.au
Thanks
marc

It seems to have abbreviated itself.

The one on Facebook works fine.

We are also planning a L'Eroica type ride on Sunday 23 March (day after the event) along the Cook River Cycle way, starting from the Canterbury Velodrome and finishing off at Sydney Olympic Park at Homebush. Stop there for a coffee, conversation and photos, then back to Tempe.
We'd probably congregate at the German Concordia Club (next to Tempe Stn) for lunch.
Details of the ride will come later.
We are encouraging all participants to be covered by Cycling Australia insurance i.e. paid up financial members of Cycling Australia.
The route is very sedate - 99% of ride on paved cycle path or sidewalk. Pace will be relaxed. Return trip is about 45km.

it's getting close now
i'm sure everyone is planning to come down anyway
we could do with a few volunteers for some easy jobs like
*selling raffle tickets
*front gate/security
*registration
*other stuff
no experience needed and you don't have to be available all day
anytime you can spare between 10am- to 4pm would be great, even if it's only an hour
please send me a message through the forum with your availability and email address.

if you would rather help with setting up or packing up we will be there from 7.30 am and probably start packing up after 4ish.
cheers,
dayna

We have about 33 bikes registered for the Concours event and 20 stalls for the Swap meet. One stall holder driving all the way from Melbourne for the privilege. Another Concours participant from SA.
Regos still coming in.
We need vollies, so PM Dayna/Scully (see entry above) if you can help.
Bigger and better than last year.

A great time was had by all. Bumper year again. Felt numbers were up slightly - what do others feel?

Had over 50 bicycles in the Concours event and an amazing array of 23 vintage bike stalls, incredible. The velodrome infield was busy indeed.

A special thanks to the 'Valley Wheelers' who organised this event. Lindsay, Lizanne, JohnJ, PeterB, PeterT, MicheleM, MicheleW, Dayna, Carol and Ray, Toff, Ron W, Alister, Karzie, JohnC and Roger 'Rabbit' Webber. Great help from TimC, Dougie and Al Sumner and Stretch (who supplied the Pennies) and the everyone else who I missed (very tired, lah).
Here's to raising heaps of money for the DHBC while spreading lots of love and having fun!

The new/old DHBC Penny Pursuit 'Perpetual' Trophy. This is an old trophy from 1888 and was used as a doorstop for many years by the late A. Donnelly, long time DHBC member. This years race was won by Ray Patton. He will look after this trophy until March 2015.

Lots more photos and a video to follow.
