Nonbikerelated talking thread. (nsfw)

Hey i decided we need a spot for talking aboutthings that are not bike related, is it better to create threads in here about it? or should there be a section? The problem with posting it all in here is that people that just want bike stuff have to sift through heaps of stuff that isnt really worth them reading to get to it :S i know in bigger forums they some times have either a chat thread or a section for it, but we dont really have enough posters.

That accident at EC raceway must of been pretty bad.

I've been out on some practice days, back around 81. I was on a GS550, which had a rated top speed of 180kph, but mine would do 190kph, due to K&N filters and a 4into1 exaust system. Fastest on the race circuit I got it to was 170kph on the back straight of Pukekohe raceway (south of Auckland), but I also got 160kph around the corner at the end of the front straight.

I took an air cooled RD350 up the hill climb circuit at Amroo park, but I kept spinning the wheel too much off the start line to get a good time.

by timyone
nice!!

i was doing 220 or so on the strait, maybe more, but had slowed down for the corner.

it was a big amount of taking the wrong line :S

lol yeah i wasnt looking too good at the time, theres pics of me later which are just as bad i think.

Posted: 12 Jun 2007, 11:29

my bike has all the same sort of k& N air filters and sports exausts you had 3.5 thousand worth or so) and it doesnt go much faster, just louder and uses more petrol!!

Nowadays the bikes are built better, so mods don't give you much of a boost.

BTW, I agree with Lindsay, way too much beard, especially for a clean skin.

My Home PC.

I use my work laptop from home and work, carry it in my back pack, good strength training.

My work laptop stopped working a couple of weeks ago, its only about 4 months old, they gave me a replacement and sent it off for repair and then I got back. Pretty much hassle free.

Home PC is going to have to wait until Saturday.

Eat more food.

I was a bit off colour Tuesday night.

Hey this morning I did Body Pump and I did the heaviest weight in lunges that I'm aware of world wide. I'm sure there's some freak somewhere I'm not aware of, but this freak is only aware of a freak in Scotland who does the same weight.

man i went to origon last night, and saved the scooter that i parked next to, a parking ticket. The parking inspectors were writing times on the wheels of cars etc, and the scooter had 5:30 written on it, and he was about to get a ticket. i tried to rub it off, but it didnt work, so i turned the wheel around, and when i got back, he didnt have one :D

lol!!! are there any nice cyclist girls there? or girls that love sports, and dont mind time being taken up for playing or going to watch lots of sports?

I need to start doing some working out again soon, they said i should wait a while after the collar bone, and i reckon i must be getting pretty close to it, because im just about out of any muscle but the stuff on my legs!

The gyms I go to are 80% females, the only place that male out number is in the weights room.

Most of the females are there to do cardio or classes (bikes, yoga, pump, attack, boxing, combat, balance etc).

Posted: 16 Jun 2007, 20:52

i reckon the style police are funny as!! as long as they dont appear too often i don't mind them, its more the rest of going off topic too much, if it happens in every thread, it can make people that want to talk on the topic of each thread get sick of having top read through too much other stuff. (i dont mind a style police thing every so often though

There were some terrible drivers on the road today, and i was only driving to Bunnings in ashfield. First there was a person that stopped at every roundabout even though it was clear. Then a truck driver who couldn't turn corners, luckily i was only stuck behind for 2 corners, the first one he couldn't even get around while using the other side of the road as well. Lastly a ute driver who obviously wasn't paying attention when i stopped at a pedestrian crossing, heard the brakes screeching, so i moved forward to increase the gap (pedestrian hadn't started crossing) and the ute steered around and comes to a stop across a side street, could have been a lot worse, i just had to shake my head and keep going....

Maybe a tank would be a good investment, i'm sure i'd have less issues with other drivers, though they may have issues with me!

Your speed and my endurance and we are made.

Perhaps we should go for a break on Friday. I lead out and pull us as far as possible off the front and then you kick in with the sprint for the win.
