Anyone know of a MTB race around Sydney this weekend? Overheard some talk of one on a club ride the other week but didn't get the details.

Ta,

Jon.

A few of us are racing the 'Fat Tyre Festival' in Ourimbah on Sunday.
It's an 8 1/4 hour race.

Hey Jon,

I think it was me who you spoke to about this on the RNP ride a couple of weeks ago

Entries are closed, but there have been a couple of offers of entries in this thread on Rotorburn - http://www.rotorburn.com/forums/showthr ... 585&page=5.

There was also an email sent out from the organisers about them keeping a list of people wanting an entry, so to contact them if you wanted to transfer yours over. So it might pay to get in touch with them. (contact details at www.wannaride.com.au )

Thanks Victoria. I see there are quite a few places up for grabs.

Contemplating a solo entry but not sure I am fit enough at the minute.

Go solo Jon - it's more bang for your buck and I reckon you'll be fine. It's a great track and you'll probably want to ride it as much as possible.

Lindsay - Gulp indeed. I'm starting to get pretty nervous :? Go team Double-Shot Dulwich Hill!

Saw a fair crowd of DH riders out there coming to terms with right hand corners ;)

Results are up over on rotorburn

I'm not even going to look. See other thread - http://www.dhbc.org.au/forum/viewtopic. ... 4&start=15

Funnily enough it was a left hander that took me down on my first lap. Would have been easier if the course was closer to 250m.

I looked, I'm not too unhappy with my result, the heat knocked me about a bit. One strange thing about the results, everyone is 39 years old.

Ok fine I couldn't help myself, I looked at the results.

John got 15th!! That's awesome. No wonder he looked like poo and was cramping up at the end :P
