Found an old DHBC letterhead, via some Ashfield Council archival material. This letter requested Ashfield Council's permission to use their Pratten Park cycle track, at Arthur St, Ashfield.
The letter is dated 10 September 1927 but am very confident this is the same logo used when the club was formed 19 years earlier in 1908.

Nice one.

What about a special edition jersey using the original logo?

It would be good to keep the origins of the dream alive.

Maybe our esteemed committee can ponder this idea.

I vote one for a limited edition vintage dhbc jersey. There is a wool jersey company that does custom stuff in the US, it will be a little pricey if we go full custom.
It would also need to be a non sanctioned jersey. So no racing in it, but it would look schmick on the vintage rides.

We can talk at the Christmas party, and I'm more than happy to organize(if someone spell checks) jerseys and maybe wool hats!

:D Great idea!

Would be also nice to have a short run down on the history the the DHBC club. The RBCC have one on their website and dont see why we cant do the same.

Wow that is an awesome log, can we guess the colour scheme?

The club history is on the main page it just needs someone to actually put it together.

I would proudly wear kit with that logo, its beautiful. Maybe update our sanctioned kit to include it? One of the great things about our club is its heritage, it makes me proud to be a member.

Nice. I do like that they've kept some part of the current logo on the jersey. Also, is that a Babici logo I spy? When will they be available to buy (I assume some proceeds go to the team)?

Wasn't there talk of a DHBC t-shirt? I think the logo would make a very classy t-shirt for the Club. I'd definitely purchase a couple (women's style).
