Saturday Road Race
Trouty - lost the bunch after the first lap but once she got her breath back powered on and finished the course
Micklan - lost bunch first lap, pulled out end second lap, save himself for tomorrows crit.
Mikesbytes - lost bunch second lap, convincingly won second bunch but a long way behind the first bunch.

Bumped into the M4 commonsure this morning and he was saying that M4 was hot. 17.8k very hilly lap and the lap times were;
27m
27m
30m
28m
So if managed to hang on I would made it to the finish

OK Crit Report
800mtr circuit, similar to MCCC Smiden Grange
Master 4 chicks
Trouty - Stayed with the group and got 4th. If her smile was any bigger we would of seen if she still had her wisdom teeth. Joanne will have to full in on the details. Joanne, you rode great !!!!!
Masters 4 blokes
30minutes + 3 laps, so a short race. We were doing about 45kph thru the bottom turn and about 38k thru the top for an average of about 41kph.
Mikesbytes - did several turns on the front and one attack but was well and truly marked. Chased down 2 attacks. Got myself to the front, but on the outside with 200mtrs to go but didn't have the legs to carry it thru. Felt good but didn't carry it thru. Once I new I wasn't going to take a medal, I rolled out and finished mid pack. 2 riders had chosen my wheel for the sprint, afterwards they were surprised that I hadn't gone for the medals. Some have way too much faith in me
Micklan - Good strategy of staying out of the action, though did roll to the front once, had a good line on the inside with about 200 to go, but got blocked in and finished about 10th.
Today was a great day and the 3 of us had a ball. Seriously you guys/gals need to get out and have a go at these major events.

I was pretty happy with that given I thought they would drop me. The competition was stronger than I thought but it was good to see a decent size womans race - 10 in our division but 23 in the race. I was amazed at a very fit looking 61 year old WMA7 who got 2nd in the Road race and 2nd or 3rd in the Crit overall. I was lucky to have Lise Benjamin and Donna there to follow and watch through the race, that helped, as I didn't know any of the riders. Good to have some riders on your side. Be great to have more red jersey's in the event next year.Master 4 chicks

Race reports
- 71.2km race of 4 laps I lasted about 2/3 of the first lap - course design meant that within each lap you would go down to sea-level and up 3 times per lap. Twice over the Moruya River & once down a cul-de-sac to rivers edge. My MAS4 body just shut down after a cracking pace and that was that.
- Crit was more my style with surge and rest surge and rest - not like lets just blast up this hill at 40+ kmph and maintain that plus some
- Positive notes: is that Moruya is a most beautiful part of the world and a lovely place for a ride
- Generally speaking Moruyains are friendly folks. Not like on the way back at Ulladulla where this chap with a wine cask lectured Mike Bytes on swearing, Mike said he didn't swear but the other bloke was sure he did...
