I'm back in Perth for a couple of weeks while my Dad recovers from an operation.
The cycling over here is excellent; not much traffic, dedicated bike lanes on major roads, mostly pancake flat - apart from the Darling Ranges. The weather has been great too, cool and sunny, and not windy, which is unusual over here.
I've done a couple of rides in he Darling Ranges, including a 100 km loop past Serpentine Dam.
Today did the classic around the river ride between Perth and Fremantle.
Over the next few days I hope to do some of the rides I used to do when I lived here:
Fremantle-Mindarie Keys: about 100 km north along the coast.
Armidale - Mandurah: 100 south along the coast.
Four Dams 100+ thought the Darling Ranges
Toodyay 160 km
This should be a good endurance base to build on before some more road racing.
I've been posting these on Strava.
