An open invitation to come and try the track to DHBC members will now be on Saturday 2nd March 2013 at 1pm.

If you have a track bike, bring that. Otherwise you will need:
• Pedals and shoes (road ones are fine);
• Cycling kit including helmet
• A current CA licence (Gold, Silver is fine)
• Water and sun protection (it will be hot in the afternoon)

We do need to know numbers however so please put your name below.

I'm keen for a go if someone is trusting enough to lend me track bike.

We decided that they will be on the same day to allow our friendly mechanics to help set up bikes for all rather than have two separate days...

Start time is actually 1pm for this event and 3pm for the ladies specific one. Please try and get down a little early than the start time otherwise we will spend half the time setting up bikes.

Eleri could you please edit the time in your post.

cheers.

There might have to be a bit of sharing going on as we dont have all that many 'loan bikes' especially in larger sizes.

A late change of plans was annouced at the weekly cabinet meeting last night. The Minister bluntly expressed her desire to start off on holidays a day earlier than previously planned. My apologies, I will have to withdraw.

The weather isn't looking that brilliant but if the track is too wet i will run a roller session downstairs, so come along anyway.

Also if possible could everyone try and arrive on time, as it always talks longer than expected to set the bikes up and we only have limited track time available.

cheers,

alex.

I'm out (bicycle/scooter is my only means of transport and it's raining). No rollers for me.
I'm still keen to have a go on the track at some later date though. Bummer...I was really looking forward to it.

I'm thinking about introducing a rule that if you dont ride the rollers when it rains you arent allowed to ride on the track in the dry. This should stop all this wimpiness

Too much rain. I too don't own a car. That's my excuse.
Just read Colin's posting. I'm back in for Sat 9 March, 1-3pm.

No excuses of that sort for me.
I'm a wimp.
In fact, I don't even run on wet running tracks or treadmills either.

Marc - are you sure there is a "come try the track" session on on Sat 9 March, 1-3pm?
I believe Colins post was meant to be put on Forum on last Friday.

Hi All,

I'd like to gauge the interest in holding this on the Saturday the 4th May, weather permitting. Same time 1-3pm and as before

If you have a track bike, bring that. Otherwise you will need:
• Pedals and shoes (road ones are fine);
• Cycling kit including helmet
• A current CA licence (Gold, Silver is fine)
• Water and sun protection

Colin

Could one of the forum gods please update the topic heading, thanks

Hi All,

looks like it's going to be a nice day to ride the track, the rains going to stay away.

Can I ask that everyone get there a bit early, 12:30-45, so we can get the most of the 2 hrs as we're off at 3 on the dot.

thanks

Colin
