Jens is awesome. I really liked the O'Grady tour bus video as well. Then there is the Frank Scheck video where he hands out praises for the aussies (i.e. riding with O'Grady). CSC seem so strong not only with their riders but their general spirit.

He is so German.

I was just thinking ...

The club could nominate a pro-rider of the year who we think embodies the spirit (or something) that we believe is the best in cycling that year. With some communication, we could present (i.e. send) the rider a DHBC jersey or similar, in exchange for a written interview and their picture on our website.

Hopefully, the rider would be flattered enough by the club choosing them as the cyclist representing the best spirit of the sport that they would agree to answering a few written questions. Sounds simple enough, perhaps?

Just think - each year a new pro-rider on our webpage, and a clear display of the strong emphasis (I think) we place on cycling in the right spirit! Imagine a picture of BIG JENS VOIGT right there at DHBC.org.au as our spirited cyclist of the year!

Huw

I think that is a pretty good idea.

I'll support it.
