Ok so far this morning from what i can work out Aus are in the final for the team pursuit up against Russia, NZ cited wrong gear choice, and great britain pointed out that their real team is all on the road performing well.. Great work by the sprint boys too, who are in the bronze medal ride off against Great Britain, the Gold is France vs Germany (go Maxamillion!!!). The only women's result up is the 500m, which didnt have tiehr of our 500m riders in it (and not Pendalton either), they must be set on the sprint, kieran and team sprint.
On the dating front Bobridge and Josephine Mills tomic are going strong, as the highest placed pairing, other team persuit boys are dating Aussie team members, but no pairing of that calibre. On the washing front it seems that Sutto tried to get in front of Kaarle McKulloch placing him out of the order in the que, this has ended in resounding results.

cycling news says the track is 'slow' - how is a track slow, or fast for that matter?

I believe it is to do with the temperature and therefore density of the air. Hot temperatures are faster than cold ones. Probably something to do what happens to your tyres as well I guess.cycling news says the track is 'slow' - how is a track slow, or fast for that matter?

The type of wood or synthetic material used on the track itself and it's condition also play a part. As does the steepness of the banking and the length of the straights and corners. Olympic standard tracks can range from 250m to 400m.
Cameron Meyer said this of the track,
"it's one of those tracks that flows really well. The transitions aren't steep so it doesn't wash a bunch of speed off, so the gaps are a lot harder to get because the pace is so high."
