The 2013/14 Draft Budget is now on exhibition for public comment.

At last Tuesday's Extraordinary Council meeting placing the Draft 2013/14 Budget on public exhibition, Labor and Liberal Councillors voted to cut the 2013/14 Leichhardt Council Bike Budget from $400,000 to $0. Basically, Labor and Liberal Councillors have chosen to cut the 2013/14 Bike Budget to pay for 30 minutes Free Parking Policy, which will cost a little over $400,000 per year.

There were many key bicycle projects earmarked to begin in 2013/14 including upgrading the section of the Greenway on Leichhardt Council land between Marion Street and Parramatta Road, improvements to sections of the Bay Run, the Whites Creek Valley Park shared path and others.
