Campagnolo Daytona (circa 2000) 32 hole rear hub + 9 speed cassette. Free to anyone with the campag cassette tool to help me take it off.
I only want to use the rest of the wheel (with an old shimano 105 hub) so need this gone.
Seems to be in very good used condition, but no promises.
Campag hub+cassette. Free if you have the tool to help

Implies if you execute the hubbub method you can use shimano 7 setup and use , limited to 7 of the 9 gears on the campagnolo cassette.
I've not done hubbub method , but have done campagnolo 9 cassette in shimano 9 setup.
And currently have campagnolo 11 levers operating a shimano 9 setup.
If you still want or need to borrow a campagnolo cassette removal tool, I can take one to the track on wednesday.

Interesting possibilities, but hub-width is my issue. 126mm for 7 speed vs. 130mm for 8/9/10. I can spring my steel frame 4mm open to squeeze the 130mm hub temporarily, or permanently by cold-setting - but I prefer to keep frame original, unstressed.
Mr/Ms Utopia - I will probably take you up on tool offer some future wednesday. I'm a newbie so it will be a chance for me to check this track thing out. Not for next few weeks -I will PM you well beforehand. Thanks 'drew
